Overview

Helio Health is on a mission to promote recovery from the effects of substance use and mental health disorders and other behavioral health issues. To support the mission of Helio Health, the Grant Writer will research and identify opportunities for Grant, Corporate, and Foundation support for Helio Health. This position will work out of Helio Health's Administration building in Syracuse, NY.

In addition to Helio Health’s comprehensive benefits package, this position is eligible for a Sign-On Incentive up to $1,500.00!

Pay Rate: $78,800.00 - $87,500.00 per year.

Responsibilities

• Researches and identifies potential foundation and corporate grant opportunities,
• Works with different divisions within the company to identify needs of programs and researches what support exists to address those needs.
• Proposes grant opportunities to supervisor that should be pursued.
• Writes/edits grant proposals for submission and presents to supervisor for editing/approval before final submission.
• Maintains records of grants written and tracks status of projects, monetary amounts and deadlines associated with each opportunity.
• Ensures grant reporting is completed timely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. Equivalent amount of education and experience considered.
• Experience researching, writing and securing grant opportunities.
• 2-3 years experience preferred, preferably in non-profit setting.

Salary and hourly compensation ranges are provided in accordance with NYS law and are based on Helio Health's good faith belief of what is accurate at the time of posting. Salary and hourly compensation offers are based on candidate's education level and experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager and program.
