The Plus Group is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will provide the higher level ad hoc budget and analysis reports required by outside and internal users. Under general supervision, performs complex budgeting and accounting functions; conducts financial, statistical, and analytical studies; prepares and assists in the preparation of financial reports and statements; performs related duties as required.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Demonstrates effective communication and problem solving skills.
· Research and resolve Business Unit(s) inquiries for assigned functional areas.
· Routine communication with Supervisors relating to financial close, issues and deliverables.
· Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations.
· Responsible for the preparation and analysis of the period managements reporting of financial results for assigned functional areas.
· Prepare all Financial Reporting requirements package.
· Prepare reporting packages: PPS, Cost, UDS, Oshpd, Tax, EHB.
· Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.
· Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
· Perform complex accounting functions; reviews documents and claims for accuracy, completeness, and uniformity to rules, regulations, and laws.
· Coordinates the developments of budgets; performs statistical analysis of cash flow.
· Provides information and technical support in the development and revision of policies and regulations.
· Assist in the new development of office systems and procedures; implement and maintain procedures for monitoring grants.
· Prepare complex financial reports.
· Assist internal and external clients in compiling data; plans and monitors timeliness to meet strict deadlines.
· Review grant letters, funding and entitlement reports; review and verify statistical and financial information.
· Research and analyze financial data; create, organize and maintain files using database and spreadsheet programs.
· Collect, retrieve and organize data to identify financial discrepancies and resolve client inquiries; recommend solutions to clients and staff ensuring that corrections or changes are implemented properly.
· All other duties assigned by supervisor
Knowledge Of:
· General accepted accounting principles and procedures.
· Principles and techniques of budget preparation, administration, statistical methods, technical writing and related record keeping.
Education/Experience Requirements
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance; or Chartered Financial Analyst Certificate (CFA) w/2-5 years hands-on accounting experience (preferably in healthcare setting coupled with experience in government agencies at both Federal and State levels).
· Valid CDL and vehicle insurance
$75,000-$85,000/Salary
