Position: Microwave Lead
Pay Rate: $22.00 /hourly
Location: Tracy, CA
Schedule: Monday - Friday Some Saturdays | 5:45am - 2:30pm
Job Description:
Guided by our principals of Mutual Respect, Trust, Teamwork, Communication, and Responsibility, the Microwave Lead is responsible for overseeing manufacturing activities within their department. This person must be able to undertake a combination of physical and mental work that ranges from filling out paperwork to production assembly lines and helping their team complete orders. This individual must multitask, provide quick responses/solutions to unforeseen production problems, and must always exhibit a professional, efficient demeanor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Is aware of what need to do and what they’re responsible for to maximize quality and productivity
Completing paperwork and any associated administrative tasks related to the production line, from updating records to show what’s been completed to noting any issues
Assign tasks based on what orders have come in and which members of the team are working on each day.
Set up production line to complete these orders efficiently
Motivate their team and show support and guidance when necessary
Relay clear instructions and procedures so that all tasks are completed accurately and on time
Ensures all production machinery operates smoothly
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications
Enforces Good Manufacturing Practices and safety regulations
Follows all safety guidelines; Reports any work-related injuries to HR as soon as possible (no later than 24 hours)
Monitors production floor for any safety hazards and reports issues to Production Supervisor and/or HR
Answers radio requests; Responds to questions and solves problems
Informs Production Supervisor of whereabouts, attendance, and activities; Proactively identifies problems and potential problems, and offers possible solutions
Required to fill various rolls on production floor including, but not limited to, Operator, Wrangler, Stager, Packager, or any other line job as required
Shows respect and sensitivity toward cultural differences; Promotes a harassment and discrimination free environment
Adheres to Company Policies and Procedures; Upholds and supports Company’s organizational goals and values
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Qualifications:
3 to 5 years’ experience with Meat Processing
USDA Trained
Advanced knowledge of GMP’s; HACCP Certified
Bilingual in Spanish/English
Must be able to give and receive orders and instructions to production line workers

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10’s and 100’s
Ability to gather and verify information, recognize, and define problems, analyze findings, draw conclusions and present solution
