Thrive Pet Healthcare is Hiring a Veterinary Customer Service Representative (part-time) Near Elgin, TX

Job Summary:

Elgin Veterinary Hospital is seeking a proactive part-time Veterinary Receptionist for our large animal clinic. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing front desk operations, and overseeing financial tasks such as invoicing and receivables. Ideal candidates possess strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for assisting clients and animals.

Schedule: 8 hour shifts on Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

Responsibilities:

* Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, offering friendly and professional assistance in person, over the phone, and via email. Schedule appointments and address client inquiries and concerns promptly.

* Front Desk: Greet clients, check them in for appointments, and maintain a clean and organized reception area. Ensure accurate updating of patient records and monitor inventory levels.

* Financial Duties: Handle invoicing processes, verify charges, and follow up on outstanding payments. Contact clients for overdue balances and resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with management.

* Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate appointments for consultations, procedures, and follow-up visits. Manage the clinic's appointment calendar to optimize resource utilization.

* Medical Records Management: Maintain electronic and physical patient records with accuracy and confidentiality. Assist veterinarians in accessing patient information during appointments.

* Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

* High School diploma or equivalent required

* Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, large animal experience highly preferred

* Proficiency in veterinary practice management software and Microsoft Office suite.

* Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.

* Compassionate attitude towards animals and clients, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
