Zion Healing Center-Jacksonville is Hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Near Jacksonville, FL

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner , you will play a vital role in providing care and support to patients with mental health disorders. Your expertise and skills will contribute to the overall well-being and recovery of individuals in need.

Duties:

- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status

- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients' needs and treatment goals

- Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness and potential side effects

- Provide therapeutic interventions, counseling, and support to patients and their families

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure holistic care for patients

- Monitor patients' progress, document observations, and maintain accurate medical records

- Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary

- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies

- Handling neuropathy patients (training is provided if needed)

- Provide IOP Services

Qualifications:

- Valid nursing license in [Florida]

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)

- Previous experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing is highly desirable

- Knowledge of psychiatric medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions

- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Familiar with treatments for substance abuse

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with individuals of diverse backgrounds
