We are looking to hire a Direct Support Professional or caregiver-type person willing to work Monday through Sunday 3-9 PM with the occasional grave shift (9PM - 9AM) Thursday through Sunday. Days off to be determined.

Job Opening! - Friends4Life (F4L) is interviewing interested candidates for a direct support professional position in our residential program in Sandy, UT! This posting is for anyone interested in working in one of our residential homes in Sandy, Utah. All our employees undergo a background check and must be CPR/First Aid certified as well as Food Handler certified.

F4L is dedicated to providing exceptional support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our clients need reliable, friendly people who have a strong desire to assist them with daily needs. Our team of Direct Support Professionals, help ensure our clients live as independently and happily as possible! We are hiring for both full and part-time positions. We will work to accommodate your desired schedule. This is typically an entry-level position, although we are always looking for those who have experience in the industry as well. Starting pay is somewhat negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. *All required training/certifications are paid for by F4L!

JOB DETAILS:

• Starting pay is $12.50 per hour
• Gas reimbursement available while transporting clients

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting clients to reach their desired goals
• Cooking
• Cleaning
• Engaging clients in fun and fulfilling activities at home and in the community
• Changing clients
• Moving clients
• Feeding clients
• Toileting clients
• Bathing clients
• Laundry
• Visiting clients
• Aiding clients with daily needs, including but not limited to, nutrition, hygiene, exercise, communication, socialization, etc
• Documenting clients medication 
• Documenting client progress
• Transporting clients
• Following all health and safety protocols required by Friends4Life and the state of Utah
• Assisting our clients with keeping a tidy home in a clean and safe environment
• Supporting and upholding client's legal rights by observing the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
• Becoming properly trained and certified as the job requires

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicants must be 16 years of age at the time of hiring
• Valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID
• Valid Social Security Card
• Pass a criminal background check
• Ability to move and stand for prolonged periods and occasionally perform physically demanding tasks
