Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Director of Finance for Methodist Hospital who is responsible for managing financial operations for Texas Transplant Institute and other physician practice organizations as directed. Areas of responsibility include management of financial and accounting operations, reimbursement operations, third party administrator operations, human resources and research grants administration.. What You Will Do In Your Role:

• Manages personnel to include interviewing, work allocation, orientation and training, staff development, problem resolution, evaluating performance, making recommendations for personnel actions, and motivating employees to achieve peak performance. Is responsible for their employee's output and conduct. Conducts feedbacks of supervised employees in a timely manner.
• Directs preparation of annual budget for practices. Analyzes monthly financial reports and determine areas for improvement and/or enhancement while analyzing budget variances.
• Directs assigned accounting functions to ensure goals and objectives are met. Accounting functions include, but are not limited to, managing the payable and non-patient care related invoices/receivables and managing contract administration for all contracted physician Directors.
• Directs the physician practice billing and collection and third party administrator operations for the practices.
• Directs, manages and monitors research grant administration, including research budgeting, invoice and receivable processes.
• Manages human resource operations to ensure payroll is accurate, benefits are managed according to employee eligibility and elections and that all personnel files are maintained and updated annually.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration is preferred.
• Five years' experience in medical business operations and finance is desired.
• Ability to read and prepare written correspondence, comprehend technical writing, and communicate effectively.
