Description
Position: Medical Assistant
Pay range: Starting at $18.29/hour
Reports to: Clinic Manager
Shifts: Full Time- Three 11 hour shifts/week, weekend availability is required.

What you'll be doing:
  • Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination, screens, collects vital signs and enters them into the EMR, instructs patients in collection of samples and/or tests.
  • Performs designated clinical duties as delegated by Clinic Manager or Physician to include injections, instillations, catheter changes, etc.
  • Responsible for injections, phlebotomy, setting up and assisting with procedures, nebulizers, and EKGs.
  • Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness.
  • Front Desk Administrative duties such as answering phones, checks in/checks out patients, and processes referrals when needed.
  • Conducts Occupational Medicine testing including audio testing, pulmonary function testing, respirator, fit testing, physical capacity exams, Department of Transportation (DOT) exams, Federal Aviation exams, etc.
  • Performs any other duties that assist in the operations of the office.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (CPR & AED)
  • Knowledge of basic medical procedures
  • Ability to accurately measure blood pressure and vitals signs
  • Phlebotomy/Injections
  • Experience using electronic medical records software
  • Ability to follow established protocols
