ABOUT

The AIS Infrastructure Group consists of four civil/vertical construction companies. Our services include infrastructure improvement, heavy civil construction, vertical construction, site development for government and state agencies and private enterprise across the United States.

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the planning, design, and execution of construction and industrial services projects. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of AIS Infrastructure's infrastructure projects. The Project Engineer must possess a strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and project management. The Project Engineer is primarily responsible for assisting in the execution and delivery of the project. This includes daily planning, scheduling, resourcing, reporting of work performance, tracking budgets and project costs, submittals, project correspondences and contracting. The Project Engineer is also required to adhere to AIS Infrastructure's safety standards and protocols.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, including scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and assessments to evaluate project requirements and constraints.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly project control reports, as well as operational reports concerning cost, schedule, progress, budget, forecast, manpower, and quantities.
  • Formulating project parameters and assigning responsibilities to the most capable employees and monitoring the project team.
  • Ensuring compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  • Provide technical support in construction planning, quality control, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, and documentation.
  • Prepares comparisons and evaluations associated with project estimates, forecasts, cost trends and schedules pertaining to budgets, productivity, manpower loadings and other operational data parameters.
  • Tracking project budgets and costs, establishing product costs, and analyzing changes in company costs.
  • Conducts meetings, draft reports or reviews work of others as related to project management.
  • Supporting administration of the project teams and the coordination of activities between project locations; ensuring that all decisions and activities within the various project teams support the project's objectives and priorities.
  • Assisting in organizing and controlling project work to ensure that all project objectives are being met with regard to safety, environment, cost, schedule, work environment, and quality.
  • Preparing and giving presentations on projects.
  • Assisting project controls in the preparation of cost estimates and/or cost loaded schedules
  • Obtaining all necessary permits and approvals for planned work.
  • Prepare and track project submittals and requests for information.
  • Keeping team members informed on progress and developments.
  • Monitoring project document development and change orders.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to access secured facilities, including military bases.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and project management.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management software.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in construction project management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
