Hart Medical Equipment is Hiring a Vice President of Operations Near Detroit, MI

SUMMARY: Responsible for the operations of the organization, supporting growth, collections and helping establish and execute the overall strategic plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Functions as the Hart operations leader in developing and meeting company goals and objectives.
  • Reporting to the President. Functions as part of the Executive Council.
  • Manages the oversight of the operations teams.
  • Development, interpretation, maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures related to branch operations, logistics and other operational matters.
  • Financial and business plan development and execution.
  • Coordinate with the billing and sales teams to maximize Hart's vision and financial opportunity.
  • P&L responsibility, including assistance in setting the annual budgets.
  • Work with the regional, clinical, logistic and other managers to interview, hire, train, evaluate, discipline and motivate appropriate personnel.
  • Knowledgeable of and responsible for current company policies and procedures as they relate to the above duties.
  • Assists with Performance Improvement activities and outcomes.
  • Ensure confidentiality of Company information.
  • Other duties as assigned by the President.
In the event the President is not able to perform his/her duties, the Vice President of Operations may be designated take over the responsibilities as described in the President Job Description (HRFM030) on an interim basis.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES
This position will have both direct and indirect reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be professional, proactive and positive with internal and external customers and coworkers. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in a health care related field or business or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum 8 year's experience in DME in DME or related field.
Preferred
  • Experience with data analytics
  • Proper track record of leading & supporting growth
  • Experience in population health, value-based care or other payer compensation models
  • Health system background
  • Demonstrates proficiency in logistics
  • Demonstrates proficiency in performance improvement
Skills & Abilities
  • Must have a strong knowledge of the DME industry, services, and operations.
  • Strong organization skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Independent worker who is able to efficiently manage tasks and time
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Make presentations one on one or in a group setting
  • Language Skills
    Proficient English (verbal, written).
    Mathematical Skills
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using a calculator.
    Analytical & Problem Solving Ability
    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
