Title: MEP Electrical Engineer

Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Salary: $70,000 - $130,000

Summary: This full service firm is looking for a professional to join their Fort Lauderdale team! You should have MEP consulting experience as well as time spent working on residential and commercial building projects. If you have the desire to grow and develop your leadership skills, this is the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

• Apply in-depth knowledge of electrical systems
• Design complex electrical systems
• Prepare 2D and 3D construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD
• Perform lighting calculations
• Mentor, train, and develop junior engineering staff
• On-site field observations
• Lead electrical design of projects through all phases and the completion of the project
• Prepare electrical equipment
• Assist on developing project budgets
• May stamp and oversee work performed with others within discipline
• Lead field inspections, installations, measurements and calculations for clients
• Build effective relationships with existing clients, customers, and contractors
• Develop new business opportunities

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience
• Bachelors in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
• Experience in MEP consulting industry
• Excellent written skills
• Knowledgeable about the National Electrical Code, California Building Code, and NFPA Codes
• PE (plus)
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
