What are the responsibilities and job description for the (Remote) Sales Account Manager position at Harris Computer Systems?
NorthStar Utility Solutions is seeking an Account Manager to join our team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to travel in a designated territory, learn new technology and work with a reputable company backed by a knowledgeable team.
As the Sales Account Manager, you will identify the needs of the customer, demonstrate the benefits of the software and present the Harris computers solution portfolio to local government enterprises, growing the customer base in their territory (to be defined) as well as enhancing relationships with existing customers. The ideal candidate is an inquisitive, self-starter who is interested in finding the best solution to fit the needs of our customers.
This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in Canada and the US.
What will be your impact?
- Grow additional revenue by increasing our footprint within existing accounts in a systematic and professional manner
- Collaborate with Account Executives on strategic client initiatives
- Plan, Coordinate and roll out targeted marketing events to drive sales
- Manage client interactions and assist other functional teams to deliver client services
- Build and maintain relationships with economic buyers, key decision makers, operational staff, and customers to ensure customer satisfaction
- Perform analysis of client initiatives, strategic plans and budgets to identify opportunities for our software and services
- Report on and develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction
- Continually gather and analyze market data, competitor knowledge, and industry trends in order to grow your knowledge of the utility billing Market
- Create, refine, and deliver value messaging to existing clients
- Clearly show through the presentation of software features and functions how our solutions effectively solve customer pain points.
What are we looking for:
- 3 years of complex sales experience in software sales
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals
- Works effectively within a collaborative and cohesive, team based environment
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Outstanding customer service and organizational skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
- Positive, results oriented mindset
- Ability to multi-task effectively and to consistently meet assigned deadlines
- Self starter with ability to work well independently and in groups
- Willingness and ability to travel 60-75% throughout Canada and half of the United States
What we would love to see:
- A true sales person with a hunters mentality
- Knowledge of utilities and/or municipal government operations is preferred.
- Previous enterprise software business development experience is an asset.
