POSITION SUMMARY:

The Apprentice Nurse will practice their clinicalskills and become acclimated to the role of licensed nurse. Apprentice Nurse works in a health facility (hospital, skilled, nursingfacility/long term care facility), community health maintenance organization (HMO),providing nursing care following a skills list approved by the Board of Nursing. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works using the guidelines established by the Nurse Practice Act, facility Policies and Procedures, and sound nursing judgment.
Assists in care plans and evaluates nursing care delivered to patients/residents requiring long-term and/or rehabilitation care.
Assist in nursing care to patients/residents requiring long-term and/or rehabilitative care.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Must be currently enrolled in accredited nursing program and in good standing.
Must have the ability to use skills in which they have been trained prior to licensure.
The Apprentice Nurse works per diem.
Must have a reliable source of transportation.
