Role Summary:

As the People Operations Manager, you'll be instrumental in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring that our HR, Finance, Admin, IT, and Learning and Engagement Departments operate efficiently and harmoniously.

Responsibilities - Our People Operations Manager will:

  • Spearhead company initiatives and partner with leadership to implement best practices company-wide.
  • Create and implement all operational employment policies and operational processes.
  • Lead HRIS and support for team-members.
  • Partner with leadership to drive company culture, launch scalable processes, and consolidate policies.
  • Brainstorm new workplace initiatives prioritizing team-member growth, productivity, and development.
  • Drive candidate recruitment cycle and recruiting process, manages all hiring and onboarding / offboarding initiatives.
  • Implement and manage all tools for performance management, team-member engagement, time off, payroll and benefits administration.Implement human resources programs by providing human resources services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health, and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, team-member relations and retention, compliance, and labor relations; completing personnel transactions.
  • Assist with payroll processing and providing functional support for incentive programs.
  • Champion collaborative cross-functional relationships with Recruiting, Payroll/Accounting, Finance, other teams, and hiring managers to ensure the successful onboarding and offboarding of new team-members and vendors.
  • Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action.
  • Prepare executive and management reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Improve manager and team-member performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; coaching and counseling managers and team-members.
  • Complete special projects by clarifying project objectives; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Improve department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Additional requirements:

  • You've done this before—you have experience in a high-growth startup environment with constant change as your companion; 5 years of experience working as a People Partner, HR Manager, HR Program Manager or similar role
  • Strong values with a clear inner core of purpose-driven leadership.
  • Strong problem solving, reporting and analytical skills. Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems
  • Demonstrated ability to research and analyze problems at a senior level, providing feedback, guidance, and direction.
  • A clear understanding of Human Resources practices and legal requirements.
  • Working knowledge of the critical components of a successful HR department including employment law, performance management, resolving conflict, having difficult conversations, team-member engagement, training, maintaining team-member files, and managing operational budgets.
  • Clear, strong verbal communication and consulting skills. Demonstrated ability to work at the senior leadership level.
  • Well-developed writing and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly across all levels of an organization.
  • Discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to listen, analyze and inform appropriately while maintaining the required sensibilities in handling confidential information.
  • Professional service firm experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with demonstrated ability to understand the language of business. SPHR or other HR certification preferred.

  • $70,000 - $84,000 annual base salary
