The Goddard School at Meridian is seeking an ECT (Early Childhood Teacher) qualified individual to support our staff as a Lead Teacher. This is a full-time position but we will work with your schedule if you are the right fit for our team!

Responsibilities and Duties

Our faculty work together in:

• Developing lesson plans. Meeting the individual's needs of the children Parent communication. Participation in staff and training meetings.
• Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom.
• Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
• Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level.
• Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
• Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
• Building teamwork.
• Using assessment tools.
• Committing to continuing education.

Qualifications and Skills

Our ideal candidate will meet one of the following educational requirements:

• A Bachelors degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or Child Development or a related field
• BA or higher in a related field that includes 18 Credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education that includes 18 semester hours of courses directly related to young children birth to age 8
• 1 year of experience working with children ages 6wks-6yrs of age
