**Part-time Utility Operator @ AEG Worldwide**

Description

Job Summary: The Utility Operator controls and transitions cameras during events for STAPLES Center. Essential Functions Work with the camera operators to prepare the proper connection and operation at the Camera Control Unit (CCU). This includes properly connecting the camera with the camera cable to the assigned port at one of the media panels, running the cable from the panel to the camera location, and ensuring precautions are taken to prevent tripping over cable or other injury. During the game, provide support as the handheld camera is requested to move around to get shots. This includes making sure the extra cable staged by the camera is kept organized, fed out, and wrapped up neatly as the camera operator moves from their original position. Guide camera operator to ensure safety from his/her blind side and behind. May also need to make supply runs back to the control room (e.g., for fresh batteries, tape or a replacement headset). Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education): A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency (AA/AS Degree (2-year) preferred) A minimum of 4 years of related work experience Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities and projects Highly organized and able to work under pressure Must work well in a team environment. Ability to demonstrate dependability and reliability by being punctual, working assigned and varying shifts, and completing responsibilities in a timely manner are required Ability to work in various climates based on the environment. Ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs. Ability to stand or sit in one location for a minimum of four hours at a time Ability to move from a seated position to standing and back again quickly (during times such as an unexpected time out that requires quick action) Ability to crouch and bend throughout the course of daily activities. Ability to perform a proper over/under cable wrap a plus Must have a flexible schedule, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
