Guardian has an immediate opportunity for a Full-Time Marketing Specialist to join our experienced and committed team at our downtown Portland home office!

The primary purpose of the Marketing Specialist position is to oversee Guardian’s marketing functions at both the site and corporate level. This will include but not be limited to; online reputation/brand management, managing the company’s property website program, heavy assistance with new property lease-up activity such as marketing collateral design, branding, and event planning, social media planning, and coordination of third-party vendors.

The candidate must be able to work under multiple deadlines, be a team player, and have strong business writing and editing skills. This role will have the opportunity to work on exciting upcoming projects in the dynamic property management and development industry.

Compensation: Depends on experience.

Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

Qualification Requirements:
The requirements listed below are representative, but not exclusive of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite and able to provide website maintenance. Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional marketing experience. Familiarity or experience in the property management or the real estate industry preferred.
  • Experience with Yardi Multifamily platforms preferred.
  • Intermediate graphic design skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic digital marketing principles preferred.
  • Must possess strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Must be proficient at writing and have excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, changing environment with minimal direction.
  • Must be able to present a professional image.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of business practices related to the organization.
  • Follow to completion tasks or questions.
  • Have the ability to take on additional job responsibilities as needed by the company.

Essential Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.

  • Manage and maintain company’s property website program. Includes copywriting, coordinating new website rollouts, updating website content, and providing technical support to property staff.
  • Manage company’s online collateral ordering system. Includes editing, copywriting and property support. Graphic design experience a plus.
  • Assist in property lease-up activities Includes ordering signage, obtaining permits, event planning for grand openings, designing collateral, etc.
  • Online reputation management on a corporate and property level.
  • Assist with social media planning on a corporate and property level.
  • Track website performance using Google Analytics. Basic knowledge of digital marketing a plus.
  • Coordinate professional photography; manage photo library.
  • Maintain property advertising contracts, including facilitating new contacts and terminations. Work closely with advertising vendors to execute and track marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate employee newsletter content as well as email campaigns related to current projects.
  • Provide design support for custom marketing collateral on a corporate and property level.
  • Assist with special projects as needed such as event planning and product sourcing.
  • Assure accuracy of all marketing materials prior to distribution.
