Guardian Life Limited is Hiring a Senior Mainframe Developer (Insurance) Near Allendale, MA

You will:
- Translate business and technical requirements into well-engineered, tested, and deployed business application systems.
- Perform technical analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of information systems and acting as collaborate with customers and other developers to resolve most efficient and cost-effective approach to meet business requirements.
- Project/use a variety of hardware and software technologies and may include new code construction, modifications to existing modules, and/or package implementation.
- Apply well-adapted software development processes and use groundbreaking technologies to engineer and implement their automated solutions to business problems.
You have:
- Expertise detailing logical data and process modeling and translating Disability and Life insurance user needs into business and functional requirements.
- Performed analysis and mainframe programming using COBOL, IDEAL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS or DATACOM, SQL, VSAM and Change-Man.
- Proven expertise performing batch processing of Disability and Life Insurance Policy Administration transactions.
- Functional and regression testing in collaboration with quality assurance.
- Expertise with Web service and other middleware protocols for distributed system/mainframe communication
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks.
- In-depth insurance domain knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics
- 6 years of experience performing systems analysis, development, and quality assurance testing of Mainframe life insurance administration systems.
- Prior/Current experience in Life insurance/Disability Products
Location:
- 1-2 days a week at any of our appealing new offices in Pittsfield MA, New York NY, Holmdel NJ or in Bethlehem PA.

Salary Range
$74,560.00 - $166,150.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
