Project Architect – mid-level – U.S. Architecture License

Location – hybrid in Atlanta, GA

The Challenge:

We are seeking a mid-level Project Architect with U.S. RA license to join our growing team in and Atlanta, GA. Ideal candidates are independent thinkers, self-motivated, communicate proactively, enjoy collaborating within and beyond the project team, and thrive in a non-corporate environment and structure.

Principle Areas of Responsibility:

  • Develops presentation documents utilizing design training and participates in design presentations to Clients.
  • Develops design concepts through construction documents.
  • Responsible for the preparation of contract drawings.
  • Coordinates with the project team of architects and engineers.
  • Meets independently with vendors to review specific products to be incorporated into the documents.
  • Performs code reviews and meets independently with local code officials to review and determine specific local code requirements and project compliance.
  • Reviews contractor requests during the bidding phase and develops and coordinates the distribution of addenda to the Contractors.
  • Conducts field visits during the construction phase to monitor and review the progress of the construction and complete field reports.
  • Travels onsite to project fields for client meetings and site inspections and visits: ~25% requirement

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture required from an accredited university.
  • Must have a United States Architecture License.
  • Detailed knowledge of architectural/engineering practice with an emphasis on design, design development, preparation of construction documents, preparation of specifications, building materials, construction costs, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in REVIT and currently performing production work required.
  • Must be proficient with AutoCAD.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Architectural Design firm.
  • Some domestic travel may be required, ability to travel internationally is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance is required.
