Hatcher is excited to welcome an intern to join our Communications team during Summer 2024. The Hatcher Intern Program is designed to provide college students and recent graduates with an opportunity to experience agency life. Throughout the program, the intern will collaborate on strategic initiatives, contribute to research projects, and learn project management skills. Interns will also participate in professional development and networking events powered by Hatcher's dynamic team.
The Communications team seeks students who are ready and willing to learn while enhancing their writing and planning skills to consistently deliver quality products. The ideal candidate will have passion for their field of study and a strong desire to contribute to Hatcher's work supporting nonprofits, foundations, government agencies, and other mission-driven organizations to educate and motivate people through powerful marketing and communications. Interns are expected to be well-organized, self-motivated, able to multi-task, while being team players. College students graduating in 2024 and 2025 are encouraged to apply.
All candidates must live within reasonable commuting distance to our Bethesda headquarters location for in-person collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

- Program dates: June 3 - July 26, 2024
- Hourly wage: $20/hr.
- Hours: Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.; Friday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with the multimedia, digital, and design teams to create engaging content for the Hatcher content strategy
- Contribute to the refresh our of firm website and employer branding
- Develop social media plans, outreach, and tracking
- Solicit engagement from Hatcher staff members for strategy implementation and content creation
- Write feature stories and content for web sites
- Collaborate with internal leads to develop content for their areas of expertise
- Perform research and development of new tactics across platforms
- Prepare reports and media briefing packets
- Other duties as assigned, according to firm and client needs
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diligent writing and editing skills with keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Effectiveverbal and writtencommunication skills
- Ability to take direction, work efficiently with a team, and adhere to tight deadlines
