TMS Eyecare is Hiring an Optometric Technician Near Wichita, KS

We are seeking an Optometric Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. As well has making sure our patients are receiving the best care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing patients for medical procedures.
  • Measure visual acuities
  • Perform preliminary screening tests
  • Perform administrative tasks associated with assisting an optometrist.
  • Handle appointments, scheduling, and insurance verification.
  • Dispense prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses to patients.
  • Perform administrative work for the optometrist including but not limited to creating records; updating patient files; making photocopies and filing documents.
  • Clean examination rooms, patient waiting area, and storage areas; stock examination room with necessary materials.
  • Assist in providing excellent patient care to the patients during their visit

Qualifications:

  • No experience required
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to gain more knowledge about the industry
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times
