Job Summary

The Dentist provides clinical dental services to patients in the dental office and asseses dental health. The Dentist collaborates with dental hygienists and assistants to provide patients with accessible, affordable and high quality dental services.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provides dental diagnostic and treatment services to patients.
  • Maintains accurate and legible dental patient records, including documentation in the electronic dental record.
  • Keeps current and complies with state and federal laws, standards, and guidelines related to dental services.
  • Assists in implementing continuous quality improvement (CQI) for the dental program.
  • Completes all requirements to maintain a state dental license that is current and in good standing .
  • Completes all GCHC credentialing and privileging requirements, including mandatory training, employee health, and renewal of credentials and privileging applications. 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Graduate of an accredited Dental School.
  • Must have current dentist license in good standing with the NC Board of Dental Examiners.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to patients of diverse communities
