Job Title: Executive Director
Location: Yuma County, Colorado
Reports To: Yuma County Economic Development Corporation (YCEDC) Board of Directors
Responsibility:
The Executive Director of Yuma County Economic Development Corporation (YCEDC) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's operations and initiatives. Reporting directly to the YCEDC Board of Directors, the Executive Director will lead efforts to promote economic growth, facilitate community partnerships, and implement strategies outlined in the YCEDC's strategic plan. This role requires strong leadership, financial management skills, strategic planning abilities, and effective communication both internally and externally.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Administration:
1. Lead the day-to-day operations of the YCEDC, ensuring efficient office management and maintaining a balanced physical presence throughout Yuma County.
2. Collaborate with the Board of Directors to implement the organization's goals, objectives, and policies effectively.
3. Develop and manage the fiscal budget in alignment with the Board's approval, overseeing all expenditures and financial reporting requirements. Coordinate with external entities for treasury operations and tax reporting.
4. Prepare agendas and reports for regular and special meetings, ensuring compliance with organizational by-laws and regulations.
5. Support membership recruitment and fundraising efforts, assisting in grant acquisitions, and providing resources to entities within the county.
Representation:
1. Serve as the primary spokesperson for the YCEDC, providing the public with information on activities, events, and initiatives through various channels, including meetings, workshops, conferences, and media platforms.
2. Attend governmental and local meetings as needed, delivering reports to county and city officials.
3. Represent the YCEDC at regional, state, and national meetings, conferences, and seminars to promote Yuma County's economic development interests.
Economic Development Strategic Plan Programs:
1. Maintain an updated inventory of existing industries, businesses, products, and services within Yuma County, fostering community outreach and engagement.
2. Manage the organization's online presence, including website maintenance, social media content, and newsletters, to enhance communication and promote economic opportunities.
3. Foster relationships with local entrepreneurs and businesses, supporting retention, expansion, and market development initiatives.
4. Support the implementation of strategic plan focus areas as directed by the Board of Directors, including efforts to encourage job creation, attract new entities, and facilitate infrastructure development.
Minimum Requirements:
- Preferred experience in non-profit management, finance, marketing, accounting, business, economics, or related fields.
- Proficiency in key software programs, including QuickBooks and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management skills.
- General knowledge of overall business operations and confidentiality protocols.

2. Develop projects to support housing and infrastructure development.
3. Implement initiatives to enhance workforce growth and support business expansion within Yuma County.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
