The Hilton DFW Lakes is looking for Housekeeping Supervisors to join the team!
Housekeeping supervisors are responsible for training and inspecting guest rooms, directing work of the room attendants, assigning deep cleaning tasks, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Supervisors will assist in room cleaning when necessary to ensure optimum service to guests.
Essential Requirements:
- Ensure that room cleanliness meets hotel's standards
- Prioritize and organize work assignments; delegate work.
- Direct performance of assigned staff and follow up with corrections where needed.
- Motivate assigned staff and maintain a cohesive team.
- Ascertain staff training needs and provide such training.
- Be a clear thinker in pressure situations and exercise good judgment.
- Focus attention on details.
- Maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.
- Ensure security of storage room access and hotel property.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to input data in computer.
- Work with laundry department.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel services, hours of operations and create a positive guest experience, be helpful and friendly.
- Ensure room availability, especially on sold out nights.
- Assign late check out and pick up rooms.
- Walk guest hallways, service areas and closets to ensure cleanliness and make sure doors are locked.
- Check computer for check out rooms or discrepancies before the supervisors leave.
- Monitor and track assigned rooms, update accordingly.
- Update room status report in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Prepare work orders for maintenance repairs and follow up.
- Handle guest's complaints in a professional and efficient manner and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Make sure carts are stocked and chemical bottle are filled.
- Return any lost and found items to Loss Prevention.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Housekeeping
- At least one year of supervisory experience in a full service hotel.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
