Grease Monkey Cottonwood Shores is Hiring a Tire and Lube Technician Near Horseshoe Bay, TX

We have a well-known corporate brand name but we ARE INDIVIDUALLY ONWED AND OPERATED AND ARE THE COMMUNITIES BEST KNOWN FULL SERVICE REPAIR TEAM! The shop was previously called Alan's Wrench and has been around since January 2009 and was purchased in 2019. Over the following year and a half/two years, the name was changed to Grease Monkey, after becoming part of a national franchisor, giving us big company benefits like training tools, national vendor agreements, technology, out of State training locations, etc, while maintaining our local ownership and complete independence.
Position Overview 
During the Full Service Oil Change, the lube technician is responsible for servicing and inspecting the complete underside of the vehicle quickly, safely, and accurately.

Responsibilities 
  • Work safely, wear safety gear, keep work area clean and organized. 
  • Use Echo System
  • Perform visual inspection of vehicle undercarriage, document any unusual conditions 
  • Obtain correct oil filter, Drain oil, Inspect oil drain plug and gasket. Replace bottom-side oil filter, when applicable
  • Check/fill gear boxes
  • Perform additional services, such as fuel filters, transmissions and differentials, when applicable
  • Perform visual inspection of belts, hoses, and other hood compartment components, document unusual conditions. 
  • Lubricate chassis, when applicable Install a tamper seal on all plugs 
  • Perform Vehicle Safety Inspections
  • Write up repair orders and estimates
  • Present a service review to the customer making maintenance recommendations based on the mileage of the vehicle
Job Qualifications 
  • Customer service skills Basic literacy (ready, writing, math skills) Verbal communication skills 
  • Ability and license to operate motor vehicles 
  • Ability to properly use mechanical hand tools 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Experience or supervised training as a lube technician desired, but not required
