Public Utility District No. 2 of Grant County, Washington is Hiring an Administrative Clerk - Office Services, Part Time Near Ephrata, WA

Closing Date to Apply: Open Until Filled 

Wage: $16.28 to $32.67 hourly 

Hours: 70 hours or less per month

Typically, selected candidates are hired at an hourly rate between the minimum and midpoint of the range.

Grant County PUD will be administering a background check as part of the hiring process, if selected for this position.

Position Summary

Provide administrative support to the Office Services department to ensure that essential business and mail operations are completed every day, equipment is in good working order, and print shop requests are delivered timely and accurately. Assist the Administrative Assistant in processing Customer Care’s customer correspondence and providing a coordination point for the contracted courier service.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Demonstrate commitment to Grant PUD’s mission, vision, values, and Grant PUD/ IBEW Local 77 Code of Excellence. The incumbent should be familiar with these organizational priorities and behave in a way that aligns with these expectations.
  • Understand and adhere to compliance requirements for this position that may include laws, regulations, security guidelines, Grant PUD policies & procedures.
  • Actively participate in all aspects of our safety program, including but not limited to:
    • Following all safety policies and procedures.
    • Alerting supervisors and coworkers to unsafe or hazardous working conditions.
    • Reporting any safety incidents or close calls within 24 hours to your supervisor.
    • Accepting feedback from supervisors and coworkers regarding your own safety performance.
  • Ensure all mail is processed daily and delivered to USPS in a timely manner.
  • Receive and sort incoming USPS mail.
  • Inventory and distribute office supplies to Grant PUD employees upon request.
  • Manage the print shop requests and deliver the end product timely and accurately to include Copies; Binding; and Lamination.
  • Coordinate, as needed, with the contracted courier for interoffice and package delivery throughout the utility.
  • Provide assistance to monitor, maintain, and operate copy and postage equipment.
  • Provide assistance to maintain mail locations and update mail slots as needed.
  • Provide assistance to inventory and distribute Grant PUD’s spot recognition items.
  • Complete special projects as assigned. 

Education and Experience

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 

Preferred

  • Customer service and/or general office experience. 

License and Certification

Required 

  • A valid State driver's license with no restrictions. 

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of working with office machines; organizational and prioritization skills; proper spelling and grammar; basic computer and administrative type skills.
  • Skills in multi-tasking with attention to detail; assuming responsibility and using good judgment; working under pressure while retaining high productivity level; prioritizing and handling multiple projects; Microsoft Office Suite; communication skills both oral and written; being a self-starter; working independently without direct supervision to accomplish daily tasks.
