Could This Be For You?:

The Quality Assurance Inspector l is accountable for maintaining quality and ensuring that all safety standards are always being met. This position will be routing out damaged items and materials, become familiar with product specifications to ensure that every product and the process of creating them meets specifications, manage the inventory control system and inventory cycle counting. Quality Control plays a critical role to the success of our company providing components that meet our quality standards and commitment to our overall business goals.

Your Impact:

Conduct in-process and final product inspections in accordance with inspection plans Support engineering to resolve problem issues and improve quality Review and generate manufacturing/inspection documentation Perform audits of work areas to ensure work instructions are accurate and DHRs are used Review prescribed specifications and standards to detect errors to ensure quality conformance Monitor and verify quality of finished product Perform receiving inspection of incoming materials and release products to inventory Follow-up with receiving discrepancies, damages, and shortages Complete physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations Document work according to manufacturing order process Promote safe work area and general shop safety Other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Previous quality control experience Previous cycle count experience English language skills to include ability to read, comprehend, and write basic information Perform basic math functions to include addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication Basic computer skills; open and find data in simple applications Must pass a background check, a drug screen, and be able to show proof of US citizenship

Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid drivers license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hangers Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.

Additional Success Factors:
  • Experience in composite fabrication or manufacturing/production environment
  • Proficient using inspection devices (Micrometers and Calipers)
  • Able to identify different process materials, prepregs, adhesives and resins
  • Must be able to read and follow detailed work instructions and prints, detail oriented
  • Self-motivation and inclination to take ownership of job duties
  • Possess good communication skills to keep all departments informed of quality issues
  • Adhere to company policies and safety procedures, punctuality, and reliable attendance
  • Comfortable using power tools and standard shop equipment and lift loads up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to perform in a team environment and exhibit a willingness to "do what it takes" to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded
  • Act with integrity in all ways and at all times, remaining honest, transparent, and respectful in all relationships.
