We're excited to offer our therapists an opportunity to deliver patient centered care. We empower therapists to decide what their patients need, and allow enough time in their day to deliver. There are no 15 minute encounters, we do not schedule at 125% production, and we encourage our therapists to spend the time to ensure each patient receives the care they require.
Our Occupational Therapist will be responsible for the following:
Assessing the patient's physical, communication and cognitive skills to develop a treatment plan
Giving advice and providing support for family members and Carers
Assessing the home, school and work environments of the patient
Installing the necessary equipment in the classroom for children with disabilities and teaching them how to use the equipment
Helping children and adult patients to take part in everyday activities based on their unique circumstances
Assisting patients' exercise for pain relief
Reviewing the patient's progress and adapting the treatment accordingly
Performing administrative tasks such as keeping records, writing reports and making telephone calls
Hunter Hollow is a 105 bed SNF newly opened in Feb 2011. We feature a 40 bed transitional care unit and a 1500 square foot rehab gym with the latest in rehab equipment including: four sci-fit bikes, electric parallel bars, electric stand in frame and tilt table, treadmill, ceiling light track system, and free motion pulley system. The gym includes a full kitchen and bath for ADL training as well as a separate speech therapy treatment room. Our Occupational Therapist would join our PT and ST services to a varied clientele including orthopedic ( post surgical, multiple trauma, after fracture care), neurologic, and chronic disease).
