We are currently looking for a hard worker with an interest in progressive politics and an aptitude for computer software to help program our surveys.

As a Research Data Associate at GQR, you will utilize software packages (similar to Stata, SPSS, R) to create and process survey datasets and tabulate results. You will program, review, and test survey instruments and showcase your meticulous attention to detail in ensuring data accuracy.

This position is considered an election-year position and may not be needed after the November 2024 election season. In the event that business and performance levels warrant, we may extend employment or negotiate an end date in the fall of 2024.

HOURS 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST Monday through Friday. Some after hours and weekend work as needed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Utilize software packages (similar to Stata, SPSS, R) to create and process survey datasets and tabulate results
2. Program, review and test survey instruments (computer-assisted interviewing programs)
3. Ensure data accuracy.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

1. Problem solver with a meticulous attention to detail
2. A logical and analytical approach to work
3. Ability to quickly adapt to changing needs
4. Experience in computer applications and ability to learn new software
5. Detail oriented and technically inclined
6. Team player with good communication skills
7. Experience with Microsoft Office required
8. Experience with software packages like Stata, SPSS, and R, Python, databases, political campaigns and/or survey research preferred

EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant field (including, but not limited to, political science, public policy, international relations, statistics, math, business)
