Nijhuis Saur Industries the parent company of Aqua-Chem, is hiring a  Construction Project Manager , internally titled Technical Project Manager, who will work in collaboration with their project team to ensure that all projects are delivered successfully and within schedule and budget. The position will provide functional leadership to other members of the NSI project team to provide customer support and service, while ensuring clear communication between internal and external resources.

The Technical Project Manager will offer remote and on-site customer support and solutions to a well-developed existing client base and new prospective clients in North America (primarily the United States and Canada).

Schedule:  FT, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Location: This position will work remotely / traveling within North America

Pay Range: $85,000-135,000/yr, Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties:

• Creating the overall project planning in combination with the master planning
• Manage a multidisciplinary project team with internal and external experts who will realize the construction of the installations in accordance with the assignment.
• Organize and interpret project data.
• Have the necessary engineering manufactured in the form of drawings, diagrams, technical specifications, calculations, etc.
• Together with the Purchasing department, provide assignments to subcontractors and to Manufacturing.
• Manage the project team, delegating project work, stimulating, motivating and guiding the project team.
• Monitor the overall project schedules of all projects taking appropriate measures in case of deviations to meet the schedule.
• Monitor the quality, safety and other requirements set for the realization of the project.
• Check and ensure that the commissioning of the installation is coordinated and carried out as specified within the scope of the Project Manager
• Create project budget in consultation with the project team, monitoring project budget and reporting on project budget and progress
• Ensure transfer of the project to the customer
• Discuss timely identification of problems (such as budget/planning overruns) and take action.
• Identify (in consultation with Sales and Team Lead Project Manager) additional and/or less work required to complete project
• Manage project documentation.
• Approve purchase orders within the set (budget) standards.
• Financial management of the assigned projects and project administration.
• Assess and evaluate all projects and prepare financial reports for these projects
• Discuss the progress of the work and reports with internal stakeholders, contractors and the client.
• Exchange information, discussing work assignments with project team members in terms of size, price and delivery time.
• Discuss possible assignments and quotations, offered components and deviations from the specifications with potential clients.
• 20-35% Travel
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field of study, preferred.
• OSHA-30 training preferred.
• Three (3) years of job-oriented experience.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, standards and regulations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Requirements:

• 20-35% travel required, some weekend availability may be required.
• Must live within one (1) hours from a major metro airport.
• Basic reading and interpretation of blueprints/drawings.
• Able to work overtime as required.
