ABS Kids is Hiring a Construction Project Manager Near Utah, UT

ABS Kids is currently seeking a dedicated Project Manager to join our team and contribute to the success of our facilities team. We are looking for candidates in the PST/MST time zone, preferrably in CA, UT, or CO. The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

This is a remote position, however it does involve occasional travel to construction sites and/or travel to attend meetings, inspections, or conferences.

What Would You Do?

  • Project Planning and Scheduling:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
    • Create detailed schedules and monitor progress to ensure adherence to deadlines.
    • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, forecasting, and tracking expenses.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to minimize expenses while maintaining quality.
  • Contract Management:
    • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
    • Review and analyze contract documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
    • Manage contract modifications, claims, and disputes in collaboration with legal counsel if necessary.
  • Team Leadership and Supervision:
    • Provide leadership and direction to project teams, including site supervisors, subcontractors, and support staff.
    • Conduct regular meetings to communicate project objectives, expectations, and progress updates.
    • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure workmanship and materials meet project specifications and industry standards.
    • Monitor compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any deviations or deficiencies.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities, issues, and resolutions.
    • Respond promptly to unforeseen challenges or emergencies, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Client Communication and Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
    • Foster positive relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders through effective communication and exemplary service.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field
  • Proven experience as a construction project manager, preferably in commercial or industrial construction.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Wrike, Procore, Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar project management certification is a plus.
