The Staff Manufacturing Engineer will be the lead technical individual while working with outside vendors through new and existing product lines.

Description

The Staff Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:

• Oversee the development of new process equipment and tooling, including creating specifications, selecting vendors, and negotiating contracts.
• Participate in and/or conduct design reviews of product components, assemblies, manufacturing fixtures, and tooling.
• Execute process validations (IQ, OQ, and PQ), and write protocols and reports to support verification and validation activities for product commercialization.
• Develop work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs), as well as technical documents and reports. Prepare raw material specifications and drawings.
• Collaborate with OPS and R&D teams to update or develop new test methods, and assist in their validation.
• Train technicians on new design and process development changes, as well as new test methods. Conduct process development training with operations and quality assurance teams.
• Mentor and guide Manufacturing Engineers and technicians, potentially leading or managing technicians or engineering interns.

Profile

The successful Staff Manufacturing Engineer will have what follows:

• 7 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Medical Device experience is a plus.
• Highly skilled with hands-on technical tasks.
• Proven capability to technically lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, thorough record-keeping, and effective information organization.
• Able to manage ambiguity, juggle multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
