About The PositionWe are seeking a Civil Engineer Project Manager of Land Development for a full-time remote-flexible position based out of our Apex location. If you are looking for a position that affords you the opportunity to interface with clients, organize and move projects along, and coach developing Engineers while showcasing your knowledge and skills within a laid-back family atmosphere, this is the ideal position for you! Because we are a small Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to grow your experience in all aspects of Civil Engineering and Land Development. You won't find yourself drowning in a sea of cubicles plugging away at the same types of projects on endless repeat here! Responsibilities
Designing portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling, and Civil 3D technology.
Completing calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizing software in order to solve problems.
Preparing specifications to local municipality regulations.
Working to complete design details and plan sets.
Assisting in the preparation of engineering and construction proposals.
Mentoring, leading, and developing a small team of Engineers.
Managing employee timesheets and work orders.
Requirements
Six to Ten years of experience in Civil Engineering
Land Development experience is preferred
A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a scientific area and/or equivalent work experience
Professional registration (P.E., L.S., etc.) in one or more states in which we conduct business is preferred
Thorough understanding of project accounting and demonstrated ability to manage the schedule and budget for multiple projects at the same time
Working knowledge of technical and office support software required to perform the essential functions of the position
