Summary/Objective

The Quality Control Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout all aspects of operations within the printing and mailing operation. This role involves developing and implementing quality assurance policies, procedures, and systems to guarantee efficient production processes and the delivery of quality products and services to clients. The Quality Control Manager will lead a team of quality control associates, conduct audits, analyze data, and collaborate with various departments to continuously improve quality standards and meet customer expectations.

The Quality Control Manager plays a crucial role in upholding the reputation and integrity of the printing and mailing facility by ensuring that all products and services meet or exceed quality standards, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction and driving business success.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs of the printing and mailing operation.
  • Lead a team of quality assurance specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of production processes, equipment, and finished products to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Analyze data and metrics related to quality performance, identifying trends, patterns, and potential areas of concern, and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with production, operations, and customer service teams to address quality issues, resolve customer complaints, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quality assurance in printing and mailing operations, and integrate relevant advancements into existing processes.
  • Drive a culture of quality throughout the organization by promoting awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation related to quality assurance activities, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives for management review.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and professional development among quality assurance team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in quality management (or comparable industry experience). Advanced degree or professional certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, ASQ certification) is preferred.
  • Proven experience (3 years) in quality assurance or quality control roles within a manufacturing facility, with an understanding of printing processes, mailing operations, and quality management systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team, foster a culture of quality, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in quality management software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Supervisory Responsibility

This is a management position which leads a team of Quality Control Associates.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. The employee may be required to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 p.m. or comparable.

Travel
No travel is expected for this position.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must be able to get background check and drug test.

Work Authorization

Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
