Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Understanding of all construction practices.
- Daily coordination with the superintendent to direct all field personnel and trade partners to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original or updated plans and specifications.
- Schedule procurement of materials to stay ahead of project timelines.
- Produce, review and manage project construction schedule using Microsoft Project
- Submittal/shop drawing reviews.
- Meet with architects and representatives to keep them informed of the project status.
- Approve trade progress invoices, and work with project accountant to produce timely client invoices.
- Attend weekly meetings.
- Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4pm minimum, weekends and evenings required to hit project deadlines.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in ground up construction.
- Must have knowledge of all aspects of commercial construction to include Structural, Architectural, Framing, Roofing, MEPS.
- Experience with Microsoft Projects.
- Extensive knowledge of reading plans.
- Experience in qualifying shop drawings and the submittal process.
- Experience in qualifying submittals from subs and the submittal approval process.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
