Our organization is searching for an experienced Permanent Electrical Project Manager in the construction industry. This role is perfect for a professional who is passionate about construction, project management, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing large-scale electrical construction projects, and a proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with a dynamic team, and make a significant contribution to our organization's success.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee electrical construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
2. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
3. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure all parties are aligned on project objectives and expectations.
4. Use project management software, such as Accubid and Procore, to track project progress and manage documentation.
5. Review and interpret electrical blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
6. Collaborate with the design team to develop and implement electrical systems designs.
7. Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
8. Provide regular project updates to clients and senior management.
9. Use Sage software for financial management and reporting.
10. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical project management in the construction industry.
2. Proficient in using project management software such as Accubid and Procore.
3. Experience in Design and Build construction projects.
4. Solid understanding of electrical systems design and construction.
5. Experience as a journeyman electrician is a plus.
6. Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and construction documents.
7. Strong knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
8. Excellent skills in budgeting and financial management, preferably with experience using Sage software.
9. Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
10. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
11. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
12. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
13. Familiarity with construction and electrical codes and regulations.
