Position Description Summary/Purpose:
The Transfer Credit Coordinator works with the faculty, the Registrar, and Program Directors/Chairs to determine if and how traditional, academic coursework and experiential learning will transfer to Goodwin University. In addition, the Transfer Credit Coordinator may determine if and how transfer credit may be substituted to satisfy degree/certificate requirements for both current and prospective students.
Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages, evaluates, and processes transfer credit for current and prospective students, including those with military transcripts and/or students changing their programs.
  • Processes Program Changes to reevaluate transfer credits.
  • Collaborates with academic program directors for undocumented course equivalencies.
  • Responsibilities include but not limited to the following: Receiving and reviewing transcripts, determining equivalencies/substitute courses, data input for CBE grading.
  • Manages, evaluates, and processes data to produce accurate transcripts for internal and external use while adhering to institutional and federal procedures and policies.
  • Creates, maintains, and updates the college inventory of transfer credits by utilizing the articulation database for both the transfer course information and the equivalent course data (TES database)
  • Create and manage the degree audit system for accuracy and compliance with posting transfer credits.
  • Develop Academic Planning Documents based on the academic catalog.
Other Functions :
  • Assisting in degree audit evaluations
  • Running specific reports
  • Provide assistance for departmental calendar planning and executing specific processes
  • Performs similar or related work as departmental needs arise.
  • Assists with the graduation processes as needed.
  • Continues professional development and training; keeps current with regulatory requirements as well as trends.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, TES, and student databases
Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high degree of accuracy with many detail-oriented tasks
