SUMMARY:
This individual will perform and oversee technical refurbishment of computer and electronic components,
and will work with various operating systems, to format and erase various personal information from tech
products. Duties will also include travel to various locations in the agency to facilitate training regarding
ecommerce policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Requires an expanded knowledge of computer, gaming, and communication systems.
• Maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
• Will be required to work on various operating and gaming systems including, but not limited to Apple, Android, tablets, E-readers, MP3 and digital recorders, cameras, etc.
• May be required to stand at workstation, or move between stations for the majority of assignments.
• Use of various software and procedures used to format and or erase information from various tech product, in order to prepare them for resale.
• Will be required to have several projects in progress at a time and monitor the progress of each.
• Will regularly lift or transfer items weighing up to 25 lbs. and prepare, price, and palletize items for shipment.
• Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, computer recovery tools and data wiping software. Must also be able to effectively research and investigate trends regarding the resale value of donated items offered for sale in retails stores or online platforms
• Awareness of private information and how it is stored on computing and personal devices.
• Ability to recognize & identify broken hardware vs. hardware acceptable for refurbishment and resale.
• Other duties, as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two to four years related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior Non Profit experience a plus. but
not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies and procedures manuals, operating and
maintenance instructions, and general instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to efficiently operate computer programs such as Word, Excel, and data base. Must be proficient
with both speed and accuracy.
