Overview:POSITION SUMMARY: The Safety and Asset Protection Manager is responsible to safeguard all GISD Assets and ensure Ambassador Safety through asset protection, loss prevention, and customer service policies and procedures. The Safety and Asset Protection Manager assists the Vice President of Operations in planning and implementing Goodwills safety programs to ensure a safe and accident-free environment. The Safety and Asset Protection Manager is responsible for coaching, development, and supervision of security staff. The primary challenge is to continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge, and preparedness across the GISD organization. To create a culture that prioritizes effective and efficient safety and asset protection practices. To provide overall leadership, professional knowledge, and expertise in the administration of Safety and Asset Protection.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Experience & Education: AA or BA in Occupational Safety & Health and/or a minimum of three years of experience in a related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the security field, including 1 year in a Supervisory role.
Language Skills: Proficient in English (written and verbal). Bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful but not required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and Goodwill employees.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to understand and analyze statistical data.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: OSHA-related courses or certificates are necessary. Valid California Drivers License with a driving record acceptable to Goodwills insurance. Must have a vehicle, valid Drivers License and driving record acceptable to GISDs insurance requirements.
