In this role, you will be responsible for the critical maintenance and operation of environmental monitoring and compliance systems, ensuring the highest standards of data quality and recordkeeping. With a focus on emissions control, you will manage systems such as the continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) for Unit 1 and Unit 2, Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) inlet nitrogen oxides emission monitoring systems (NEMS), and the Unit 2 Hg process monitor. To excel as the Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS) Technician at Golden Valley Electric Association's Healy Power Plant, candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with valid first aid and CPR cards (or the ability to obtain them within 30 days of hire). A valid driver's license is required for this role. Additionally, applicants should have a minimum of two years of experience in effectively operating and calibrating gas analyzers or similar laboratory equipment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
