Richmond Ambulance Authority (RAA) is currently recruiting for Logistics Service Technicians (LST). In this capacity, you will serve as an ambulance service technician in support of all RAA field operations, ensuring that all ambulances are “response ready” for field crews.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Maintain high standards for health, safety, welfare, and ethical behavior
  • Clean and stock all units, grounds, and facilities while ensuring safety and protocols are met
  • Stock medical supply shelves with equipment and supplies required for RAA field and administration operations
  • Restock medical supply containers on ambulances with equipment required during vehicle decontamination and preparation processes
  • Keep supply room neat and tidy, free of obstructions
  • Assign units and equipment to incoming crews
  • Drive RAA vehicles to and from service areas and parking areas
  • Immediately report any unsafe conditions or practices to supervisor
  • File and store paperwork relating to supplying of ambulance bins
  • Accurately complete and deliver all required paperwork and logs used in the Quality Assurance process
  • Document delivered supplies and store appropriately in secure storage area
  • Update medical supply inventory sheets with new medical protocols and medical supply equipment updates
  • Assist in Emergency Mass Casualty Incidents (MCI) and with lift assists for field crews as dispatched by the communication center personnel

REQUIREMENTS :

  • High School graduate or GED certification
  • At least 18 years old
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with company policy

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :

  • Candidates selected for employment are subject to a urinalysis to screen for illegal drugs. Candidates who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with the Richmond Ambulance Authority
  • Candidates selected for employment are subject to a fingerprint background screening. Candidates who refuse to be fingerprinted will be denied employment with the Richmond Ambulance Authority
  • Candidates selected for employment are subject to Physical Abilities Test (PAT). Candidates who refuse to complete the test may be denied employment with the Richmond Ambulance Authority
  • Participation in the COVID-19 vaccination program, or having an approved medical or religious exemption on file with Human Resources, is required for all Richmond Ambulance Personnel
  • New employees complete a probationary period

SIGN ON BONUS :

  • After 90 days of employment, the new employee will receive 42 hours of paid time off to use at any point during their employment with the Richmond Ambulance Authority.
