Jacobs Entertainment is currently in search of a “Guest Room/Laundry Attendant”for Gold Dust West Elko. This property features a modern interior with the latest slot machines and table games including Blackjack, Craps, and 3-Card Poker. Across the parking lot is our 80-room Hampton Inn featuring Wi-Fi, a swimming pool, fitness center and a hot breakfast for all guests.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Clean Guest rooms according to Hampton brand standards and management’s standards
• Check and maintain the physical condition of guest rooms
• Stock and restock assigned housekeeping cart daily
• Stripping and stocking linens
• Cleaning and organizing housekeeping/storage/laundry rooms
• Properly use all cleaners and cleaning equipment
• Pick-up soiled linens from laundry chutes and/or laundry carts
• Pre-sort and separate linen accordingly and transfer to work carts
• Separate out laundry requiring mending or special stain removal
• Empty the prepared linen from carts to washers and clean empty carts
• Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload linens from machines
• Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to formula provided
• Monitor feeder information on washers, make sure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to housekeeping supervisor
• Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen
• Iron, fold and count items to maintain Hampton brand standards
• Run folding equipment to fold mats, blankets, towels, bedspreads, etc.
• Hand folding of various bulky items such as blankets, bed pads, duvet covers, etc.
• Assist in inventory by counting and recording various items. Complete inventory sheets
• Deliver clean linen from laundry department to linen/housekeeping rooms
• Clean and maintain laundry room and equipment and stock supplies
• Follow all OSHA regulations and Company policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
• Sweep and mop, dust, vacuum, and empty trash receptacles as needed in all areas
• Fill out work orders for general maintenance repairs as needed and report any damage or missing hotel items
• Assess and complete any basic maintenance repairs as needed
• Follow lost and found guidelines: Any items found in guest rooms, lobby, corridor, or in the back of the house are to be returned to the front desk
• Follow all policies and procedures for guest, employee and hotel safety
• Stay current with all Hampton brand training programs and comply with Hampton brand standards

Skills, Education and Other Requirements:

• Basic reading and writing abilities
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience
• Identification that establishes identity
