GoAhead Solutions has a great opportunity for an Oracle APEX Database Administrator(On-Call). This would be a Six to twelve month contract to start out with extension. This position can be onsite hybrid or remote for the right candidate. This would also be an on-call position with the team.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database administration with specific expertise in Oracle Application Express (APEX). As an Oracle APEX DBA, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing the database systems to support the efficient operation of the organization. In addition, we are looking for an individual capable of creating systems architecture and database structures that consolidate the conceptual, logical, and physical models of data stored at the organization.

Responsibilities:

-Database Administration: Manage and maintain Oracle databases, including installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.

-Oracle APEX Development: Develop, customize, and maintain Oracle APEX applications to support business requirements and improve operational efficiency.

-Security Management: Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data stored in the database systems.

-Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor database performance and proactively identify and address issues to ensure optimal performance and scalability.

-Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and impact on operations.

-Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.

-Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of database configurations, procedures, and best practices.

-Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders, to support database-related initiatives and projects.

Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users and developers on Oracle APEX usage and best practices.

Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

-Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, with expertise in Oracle APEX.

-Strong knowledge of Oracle database concepts, architecture, and best practices.

-Hands-on experience with Oracle APEX development, including building and customizing applications.

-Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming languages

-Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.

-Solid understanding of database security principles and practices.

-Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

-Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

-Relevant Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
