Global Refuge is Hiring a Program Officer for Data & Reporting (Virtual R&P) Near Baltimore, MD

In April 2024, Global Refuge, in partnership with the Department of State's Bureau for Populations, Refugees, and Migration (PRM), will launch a new virtual case management program, the Virtual Reception & Placement (VR&P) program. This program will provide case management services to refugees and Special Immigrant Visa holders for the first 90 days after their arrival, providing Reception & Placement (R&P) services, virtually.

Reporting to the Senior Program Officer, the Program Officer for Data & Reporting will be part of a team working to implement the newly established VR&P program. Working at Headquarters, this work will be carried out through the management of VR&P systems, processing of financial requests, data collection and trends analysis, and support for the VR&P direct service regional teams. This position requires experience with data management, and data systems, a strong command of Excel, and a strong attention to detail. This position can be remote with occasional trips to Baltimore as needed.

DUTIES

  • Support the implementation of the new VR&P program for Global Refuge.
  • Coordinate and support, data integrity, and compliance monitoring.
  • Support with management of financial awards and reporting for the VR&P program.
  • Create and disseminate data reports and analysis of programmatic trends and outcomes to support the VR&P program.
  • Support the monitoring and evaluation of VR&P services, supporting critical and time-sensitive data collection and reporting.
  • Maintain and ensure the quality of VR&P data systems including but not limited to IRIS.
  • Provide information and data to ensure the successful completion of programmatic reports to funders.
  • Point of contact for intra-agency collaboration with the Global Refuge IT Department related to program systems and databases.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to the VR&P teams on the utilization of systems, databases, and reporting issues.
  • Assist team members with using data to better understand and assess the national resettlement environment as well as identify trends, areas of strength, best practices, and challenges.
  • Contribute bold creativity and innovation to the unit with the ultimate goal of implementing the Global Refuge VR&P program.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree and/or at least three (3) years of experience in non-profits, immigration, and/or social services programs, are required.
  • Experience working with refugees, immigrants, or limited English speakers, is preferred.
  • Experience with data maintenance, database management, and visualizing data, as well as expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications, is required.
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis is required.
  • Experience with PowerBi, Zoho Reports, SQL, or similar business intelligence tools preferred.
  • Personal interest in facilitating the smart use of data to identify program trends and solutions to improve both technical assistance to affiliates and client outcomes for refugees and migrants.
  • Ability to write and edit reports and clearly interpret technical requirements.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Deep commitment to Global Refuge's core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.
  • Experience with and commitment to working in a very diverse workforce.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 5% or less of the time
