Mountain West Bank is looking for a detail oriented Wire Specialist II for our Corporate Opeations Center in Coeur d'Alene, ID. The Wire Specialist, under general supervision, performs a wide variety of operational functions, in support of Mountain West Bank’s customers, branches, and departments, through fact finding and problem resolution. Salary depends on relavent experience. This is a full time 37 hour a week position. Must be available between the hours of 8:00AM and 4:00PM with a half hour break. Minimum rate $18.00 DOE

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Respond to all customer service questions, inquiries, problems, etc. in a helpful, professional, and courteous manner.
2. Exercise judgement and discretion in performance of all duties, referring more complex problems and situations to immediate supervisor.
3. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
4. May perform any, or all, of the following duties:
Process Incoming and Outgoing Wires, both Foreign and Domestic.
Perform Wire Verifications and Call Backs.
Process Foreign Checks.
Debit/Credit outgoing and incoming wire amounts.
Daily reconciliation of general ledger accounts
5. Assists the Operations Department in other duties, such as, but not limited to:
Account Verification
Answering the phones
6. Certifications
About You

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in banking
  • A good understanding or banking products and services
  • Previous office experience and prior use of basic office equipment.
  • Good knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills both verbal and written to maintain a heavy volume of correspondence, personal contact, and telephone communication.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to multi-task and handle complex tasks efficiently. Strong organizational skills.
  • Good understanding of banking regulations and compliance
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:
  • Two (2) years Banking experience
  • Previous Experience with Wires
  • Knowledge of Jack Henry Systems
  • Knowledge of Mountain West Bank's products, services and procedures

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
