Giovanni Rana is Hiring a Continuous Improvement Manager Near Bartlett, IL

Purpose of Position
Our Continuous Improvement Engineer will focus on implementing continuous improvement/Lean Six Sigma ideologies in our food manufacturing plants. Using knowledge of engineering methodologies, tools, and data analysis this position will interface with employees at all levels and various functions across the business and within our multiple facilities. The goal of this position is to ultimately demonstrate maximum efficiency, while continuously assessing critical processes, systems and implementing programs that will have long-term benefits.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute continuous improvement activities through standardization and consistency.
  • Apply standard and advanced test engineering techniques, procedures, and skill sets to bring new products to production with quality and ensure production goals can be grasped
  • Identify cost savings through research or product requirements, manufacturing methods and equipment modifications.
  • Improve manufacturing organization by analyzing workflow, space requirements and equipment layout with the goal of cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
  • Drive continuously improving results by leveraging Lean principles, practices and tools, consulting skills, and change management processes
  • Assist in defining requirements for operations and ensure the implementation of continuous improvement strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed business requirements and customer expectations
  • Directly provide formal and informal Lean training and capability building
  • Develop sound engineering practices and implement those engineering practices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Industrial Engineering and Lean Six Sigma tools to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Adheres thorough quality management process and procedures that will validate our integrity to operations.
  • Participate in project meetings including but not limited to kickoff meetings, planning meetings, progress meetings, lessons learned meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Key Skills and Experience
  • Bachelors degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 5 years of plant experience in technical or management roles
  • Effective verbal and written skills - comfortable presenting to a group
  • High degree of analysis, problem solving, and creativity
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of statistical methods and process improvement techniques.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal), team building and demonstrated leadership skills with all levels in the organization.
  • Daily activity may include, but is not limited to reading, lifting, communicating, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting
  • Must have Microsoft Office experience with advanced Excel Skills.
  • Italian speaking and writing a plus
