Who are we looking for? 

GHD has an opportunity for a Team Leader to join our EHS Compliance Team. We are seeking self-motivated and active professionals with excellent technical skills, local regulatory knowledge, and values to build credible relationships with clients and the community. You'll need to be flexible in your approach to challenges and have a strong ability to think laterally in delivering technical solutions.

The Process Safety Management Leader will lead the process hazard analyses (PHAs) and compliance audits pursuant to OSHA's process safety management (PSM) regulations. This position requires strong expertise in Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Programs (RMP) and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Reviewing and developing standard operating procedures
• Developing key performance indicators and leading indicators to track and monitor PSM performance
• Training on PSM/RMP regulations and implementation of site-specific training programs
• Managing client communications and deliverables
• Developing and mentoring team members
• Leading proposal development and contract negotiation to win targeted pursuits.
• Managing technical projects: maintaining client satisfaction while ensuring projects are delivered safely and within scope, schedule, and budget
• Establish and develop strategic long-term relationships with current clients, new clients and prospective teaming partners

What you will bring to the team:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or related field of study
• At least 15 years of consulting, operating, or managing technical work in the area of PSM/RMP
• Ability to distill complex subjects and communicate them effectively
• Ability to lead groups of people with diverse experience and skill sets
• Experience task managing while producing high quality results
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple, fast-paced projects, budgets, and meet deadlines
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business contracts, government regulations, technical procedures, construction drawings, and industrial processes
