Our client, a global Fortune 500 Medical Technology Companyhas engaged GForce Life Sciences to provide a Staff Engineer, Controls Automation. This position will report to a Sr Manager in Engineering within theR&Ddepartment. This individual will be responsible for managing End-to-End Automation Projects/Programs. This position requires the ability to do manage and push large projects along.
· Manage End-to-End Automation Projects/Programs and participate in projects led by others as Equipment Controls SME
· Guide the organization in the adoption of technological advancements, assess new technology applications and develop short and long-term automation roadmaps
· Design, build, program, configure, install, commission and maintain Electrical Controls systems
· Develop User Requirement Specifications and implement Equipment Control systems, shop floor controls and productivity software tools
· Investigate, diagnose and resolve issues with hardware, software and network interphases
· Provide recommendations in the areas of safety, quality, equipment effectiveness, equipment function and equipment reliability
· Guide, Mentor, Train and Develop personnel
· Perform Equipment control design tasks including development of controls requirements, system specifications, P&ID schematics, test scripts, controls safety assessments, qualifications protocols, protocol execution, reports, technical instructions and training.
· Participate in the review, negotiation and vigilance of support service contracts and vendor commitments
· Support Supply Chain and commercial manufacturing initiatives and participate in cross-departmental action committees
· Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing
· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering required
· Experience working in Equipment Automation Control roles (minimum of 10 years required)
· Experience programming Allen-Bradley PLC's required (5 years, required)
· Experience supporting DCS, SCADA (3 years, required)
· Familiarity with multi-level automation architecture and industrial network designs using DeviceNet and/or ControlNet network applications for data exchange over ethernet, required
· Experience configuring HMI's (3 years, required)
· Experience supporting 6-Axis robots or SCARA's and Servos (3 years, required)
· Experience supporting instrumentation devices (3 years, required)
Nice to Have
· Advanced Degree in Electrical Controls preferred
· Experience working in the Medical Device, Pharmaceutical or other regulated industries is a plus
· Some experience in machine learning is a plus, not required.

· Able to travel up to 20% both domestic and/or international.
