The Systems Engineer I must exhibit a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and expertise in managing complex IT systems and projects. This role is critical in ensuring our IT infrastructure aligns with organizational goals and evolves with emerging technologies. Reporting to the IT Development Manager, the position requires an individual who can effectively manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and drive technological advancements through automation and integration.
R esponsibilities and Duties

• Develop, maintain, and optimize applications/platforms/systems/services, with a focus on Atlassian environment, Zapier, and Microsoft products like Office 365, Azure, and Power Platform.
• Administer and manage user access across various applications and systems, ensuring secure and efficient operation.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for the Service Desk team, particularly for complex project-related issues.
• Create, maintain, and regularly update system configuration documentation to ensure clarity and efficiency in operations.
• Drive continual improvement and automation of team processes, emphasizing innovation and efficiency.
• Adhere to engineering and architecture standards, actively participate in technical review meetings, and contribute to the strategic technological direction.
• Proactively monitor systems for performance issues, conducting regular reviews of log files to identify potential system or security concerns.
• Update system and process documentation, assist with the creation of user guides, and engage in active knowledge transfer to support team development.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team's success.

Education, Knowledge, Experience

• 2-years' experience in an IT role, with preference for certifications in cloud technologies and automation.
• Advanced scripting and automation skills, ideally in a cloud environment.
• Proficient with Azure, including a strong focus on Power Platform for developing and managing solutions.
• Demonstrated ability in optimizing cloud-based systems and processes.
• Experience with other Microsoft cloud products like Office 365 and SharePoint Online.
• Mortgage industry experience is a plus but not mandatory.
