Position Information:The Biomed Engineering Tech I maintains medical equipment through the effective use of the department Medical Equipment Management Plan. Performs intermediate level tasks associated with the installation maintenance and inspection of medical equipment. Maintains records of all activities associated with medical devices. Demonstrates a working knowledge of current medical equipment technology to include computers software and networking with ability to adapt to developing technology. Utilizing critical thinking skills consults with more experienced technicians when making decisions regarding the maintenance of unfamiliar equipment.
Experience Requirements:1 Year Biomedical Engineering Or Equivalent Preferred Or 2 Years Biomedical Engineering Or Related Position Experience In Lieu of Degree
Education Required:Associate's Degree Technology Or Information Systems Or Certificate Military Equivalent Required
Licensure/Certification Requirements:Not Applicable
